'Nu Bello Cardillo Revisited

The pale blue light has already made its way from over the horizon and slowly seeps through my half-open window. And then he comes. His first chirp is almost dreamlike. The gentle song of the sparrow awakes my clouded mind to the beginning day on the empty quiet street. I can see his silky confectioner’s sugar dotted plumage of caramel and hazels, his fragile cotton breast swelling with vivid air as he prepares to sing of the approaching sun. The ageless song of old lovers. There is something inappropriate in the sound of his flight into my bedroom, something of a scandal, soon forgotten. His harmless claws hush against my skin as he hops from rib to rib, peculiarly spreading his minute wings with a rustle of white sheet. Circling courtship to my heart. His tiny beak is cold and soft as it caresses my chest, right under my sternum, but feels warmer as it strikes again. And surely, a blazing sword as it starts tearing through the flesh. His little black pearly eyes look excitedly toward their goal. The down of his neck now sparkles with a thick red necklace, and as he digs deeper toward my chocolate box shaped organ, drops of blood trickle along his feathers with every shake of his head and tail, antique rubies running from a newly discovered treasure. Before his final stroke, I mean to plead with him to let me rest, for I could not sleep again. But he rises again, tiny murderous automaton, and sounds his deadly chirp: “It is over.”

Well, the sparrow is getting drenched with the guy's blood as he (the sparrow) frets with excitement and strugles his way to the guy's heart.
Do not be sorry, I am flattered with your interest.

Though my name doesn't begin with "YO", I will, nonetheless, repeat the first's sentiments. It was quite superbly written and there are some beautiful phrases in it. Better then I could do, I should say.

Concerning Yodo and Hugh's comments, me is very flattered, thank you, gentlemen. As for the two irrelevant spam comments above: GEEEEET THE FUUUUCK OOOOOOFF MYYYY BLOOOOOG, YOOOUUU FUUUUUCKIIING STUUUUUPIIID ROOOBOOTS*!!!

*For what I know, the appellation"robots" in the context of spam comments and blogs was first used by the above-named Hugh.

Oh, yes, very furry indeed.

But it's not our fault!! Anyway, we will resist assimilation.

Yes! The war against the robots has begun (ironic, huh? We were the ones who built them to serve our needs, and now look what's happened. Let me explain: we made them to make our lives easier, but they've rebelled against us and made our lives harder. We could have saved ourselves a lot of bother if we just learned to pick up the washing and clean our teeth. Oh why, personkind, why does thee have to complicate? Now do you see the irony? Cosmic-irony, that is — which only brushes the surface of the whole ironic can of worms). So every woman, child and retired citizen must bear arms and destroy these over-zealous cartoon-poker-dieting robots for the sake of the strong, who, when you inevitably return with thinned numbers, will have the grave responsibility of keeping that planet powerful in the event of outside invasion.

Oh and I did some research into the first instance of Spam on my site, and, while I dubbed them 'evil machines' or something (on their site, no less — and they weren't too thrilled about it), Ben, I think, was actually the one who dubbed them 'robots' (again pointing out that it wasn't actually spam). So Ben, the royalties will arrive soon. (Ben being Yodo)
